I know that FreeBSD has something like Linux's framebuffer device but how hard is it to configure? Is this something that requires a recompile of the FreeBSD kernel or can I accomplish by simply loading a kernel module? I am looking for the easiest way to enable this so I can test it and see if it will work for me, as I prefer to run my home machine without X Window.
