Can someone fill me in on the side effecs of changing HZ in param.h to 1000 or 2000 -- i need to have usleep() that will sleep 1ms under no load. Also will a make world fix the problems with top after doing this i assume such a change must go in the .h files (instead of GENERIC) since it effects out of kernel sources right?
