Just another data point: I spent some time bmakeing texinfo-3.7 and I can't say I like the procedure. A port would have been easier. Maybe we could get by with a bsd.gnu.mk which sets things like $PREFIX, $GNU_CONFIGURE and such and then included bsd.ports.mk. Aside: how about a /usr/share/misc/config.site? This would be useful in any case, I think. tg
