I have a machine that was in service for a month when it ceased to have a default gateway. I have one listed in the rc.conf file. but when you do a netstat -r it does not show up. the machine can see anything on the local network includeing the gateway ip which does snow up when you do a netstat -r but no static route will show up at all. does anyone have any idea's. i would like to figure this one out as oposed to simply re-installing the os. thanks for any light anyone can shed on this.
