I am not sure how I ended up with py36-setuptools_scm because right now nothing depends on it. It must have been installed because of something else that I removed since. I deleted it now. The py27-setuptools must have been installed automatically when I installed samba47. I did not play with default versions on the command line (I use portmaster with a few pretty harmless flags), but I did have to add the following to /etc/make.conf: DEFAULT_VERSIONS+= python3=3.6 DEFAULT_VERSIONS+= python=3.6 When installing py-iocage.
