The way I see it, it is more likely that a different ``French'', which accepts and extends parts of other languages, will be the outcome of all that Brad describes. Younger people are in contact with people from all over the world, and are constantly changing their manners, the way they speak. On a similar subject, a lot of articles in the Greek press are quick in their judgement of this, stating that young people "will eventually kill the language". I am a bit more optimistic. The language will improve, it will evolve & mutate, change, be extended, and continue the long process that started thousands of years ago. This is far from "the death" of the language.
