Folks are too pushed into errors when a project has 29 > different styles. If you write all your code from scratch, you can do that. I don't have experience with non-trivial projects that *don't* include substantial amounts of third-party code. Reformatting third-party code to fit your style is a mistake if you want to ever take another drop of that code. When there's more than one style in a particular file, however, somebody needs to be slapped with a dead fish.
