Hi !
I have a tricky bug during the compilation of the GENERIC kernel.
Notice that I have tried several times to compile this generic kernel (provided with FreeBSD and not customized by myself), and that I obtained different errors.
Is the compilation non deterministic ?
Please, find enclose 4 bug reports.
My current configuration is
AMD Duron 600MHz
MEM = 256Mo
AGP Nvidia graphic card
KT7 motherboard
Sound Blaster Live Value 1024!
HD of 1.2 Go
and FreeBSD 4.4 or 4.5 (I have just download the latest version, but the compilation error still occurs)
I want to recompile the kernel in order to enable my sound card, so I have tried first with the GENERIC kernel, and it did not work, although I followed the instructions of the handbook (So please, do not tell me RTFM) !
Please, help me no to go back to Linux only for a compiling problem !
