It is enough to indicate that I should not normally send both via *@freebsd.org and via gmane.os.freebsd.* in one message/post. There is a time offset. Thunderbird shows in Sent that I sent only once, with time 09:19. The macOS mail Sent for my yahoo account also shows 09:19. The headers show :19 . The earliest such for the smtp/yahoo context: "Original-Received:by hermes--production-gq1-86969b76cd-dndpf (Yahoo Inc. Hermes SMTP Server) . . ." shows: Tue, 13 Jan 2026 17:19:17 +0000 (UTC) For the message that has "X-Injected-Via-Gmane:http://gmane.org/" . . . "Original-Received from list by ciao.gmane.io . . ." shows: Tue, 13 Jan 2026 18:17:43 +0100 . Note: An attempted send to just gmane.os.freebsd.test (after the double post resulted) has still not shown up. It is not like newsgroup sends to examples of gmane.os.freebsd.* started working in general: Just rarely. So far, all *@freebsd.org SMTP sends have gone through. -- === Mark Millard marklmi at yahoo.comhome | help
