You are not supplying the necessary information (you should have had
the full error message, as we can't identify which panic() you got
from your description).

Your problem is most likely that you're not getting the right drive;
I'm pretty sure this is covered in the FAQ.

And you're mailing to the wrong mailing list - if you still can't get
it to work (after reading the FAQ, the relevant part of the handbook,
and the online manpage for 'boot'), please submit a fuller question
(including the entire error message) to questions@freebsd.org.  As it
is now, we're not able to help you :-(
