Immediate question (because there may be more: Having installed mysql on my FreeBSD 3.2-Release system, the intial database creation hangs after reporting "creating columns_prvt_table." Supposition: Perhaps because I do not have proper libraries installed/compliled? Background: Running FreeBSD 3.2-Release, the binary package installation (generic kernel obviously). Attempting at this point to get MySQL 3.22.22 binary (package) release to install and function. In the ports secton, I see a note about libtool-1.3 being required, but I'm too much of a novice to know how to do this and can find no 'how to' in the mail list archive or documentation. Do you think the libtool-1.3 thing is the problem, or a need for other libraries (if so, what and how does one access/compile them)? Or any other suggestion to resolve the problem? Thanks.
