I was going to object to this change, but, having tried to think of a few different ways of expressing this, I've come to the conclusion that the whole paragraph is redundant. Users running 2.1 will need to re-configure the kernel regardless, and most 2.2 users can just load the LKM without touching the kernel; if that doesn't work for them, they also will have to re-config the kernel. Therefore, no-one actually needs to test if their kernel has Linux support. Apart from that, it looks fine. Thanks for doing this!
