Thanks for the patch.  Can you please send the diff to the maintainer of
the port, gj@FreeBSD.org.  Both Peter and myself are vi(ish) users.  :-)

When you forward your patch to gj, the canonical symbol on FreeBSD to
use is "__amd64__"
