This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --------------090308050400060201090105 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I've managed to resolve the internal NIC troubles of my HP Proliant ML110 by upgrading my 4.10-RELEASE to 4.10-STABLE simply by using cvsup to download the sources of 4.10-STABLE, compiling and installing them. Now my bge0 network interface is working well :) Thanks a lot dear Paul ;) Bertrand --------------090308050400060201090105 Content-Type: message/rfc822; name="HP Proliant ML110 internal NIC troubles" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline; filename="HP Proliant ML110 internal NIC troubles" Message-ID: <416576F8.1060601@frenchcube.net> Date: Thu, 07 Oct 2004 19:03:52 +0200 From: Bertrand Juglas <bertux@frenchcube.net> User-Agent: Mozilla Thunderbird 0.7.3 (X11/20040804) X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: wpaul@windriver.com, freebsd-hardware@freebsd.org Subject: HP Proliant ML110 internal NIC troubles Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hello, i'm trying to setup FreeBSD 4.10 on a fresh new HP Proliant ML110 server. I've already read on the freebsd-hardware mailinglist that the problem of the HP Proliant ML110 integrated Broadcom 5705 chipset not recognized by the bge driver available in FreeBSD 4.10-RELEASE was already experienced. Could i update only the bge driver or should i update all the sourcecode by cvsup to 4.10-STABLE ? I've booted with a Linux liveCD and it shows with lspci : 04:04.0 Ethernet controller: Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5705_2 Gigabit Ethernet (rev 03) lspci -s 4:4.0 -n 04:04.0 Class 0200: 14e4:1654 (rev 03) I hope this will help you to understand this problem. While waiting for another solution, i will try to update to 4.10-STABLE with the sources downloaded by cvsup. Good luck and thanks for your driver, Bertrand --------------090308050400060201090105--
