I'm completely puzzled about soundcards under freebsd, i have read the = respective chapter in the handbook but i dont found a good relation with = my laptop (compaq 725) soundacard that's: 16-Bit Sound Blaster CompatibleJBL Proi Audio System c/ Bass Reflex # kldload snd # cat /dev/sndstat FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm) Installed devices: # SO, all i have to do is add "devime pcm" in the kernel, and when i = re-compile it, the sound will be working ?!
