Ok, minus 10 points for me for not realizing that USB 2.0 devices were backward compatible with USB 1.x controllers/hubs. ASIX appears to have a USB 1.x version of this chip as well (Ax88170) with the same programming API. Of course, I don't actually have any of these pieces of hardware myself. I guess I could stop by CompUSA on the way home tonight...
