I have heard some people have had some luck with the Riva128 server and some tweaking. NVIDIA is working on an X Server for linux and they have implied that it will be in the next release of XFree86 whenever that comes along. However, with the generic X-Servers you will not be able to use the 3D features of the card with packages such as Mesa. You would have to purchase an OpenGL implementation from somewhere like Xi Graphics. Problem with that is that Nvidia is not release register level specs of the card so Xi cannot produce the accelerated server. They have also indicated that unless customer demand indicated otherwise that the only platform which they would support acceleration on would be Windows NT/9x If you are really interested send an e-mail to info@nvidia.com and voice your desire for an accelerated X server. notme wrote: > > Hi, > I am currently considering to purchase a TNT AGP graphics > card, and I am wondering if there is any drivers or support from > FreeBSD.
