Justin, Your patch to isa.c appears to work. My EISA system has a 1742, 3c509, 24 MB ram, and 61 MB. The test kernel and normal configured kernel both pass my test for stability. As you may recall, without the isa.c patch I could cause the system hang or getnewbuf panic with "iozone 32" within minutes of booting a kernel. I am happy to report the patch appears to clear up the problem. BTW, I am probing the eisa bus prior to the isa. -- Steven G.
