I agree.  I think that we need to come up with a list of old, shim
using drivers first.  There may be a few surprises on the list.

The only one I have in my sights right now is the fe driver.  It is
the one network card that we dropped support for between 3.x and 4.x.
I have the hardware, just not the time.
