Yeah, it would be handy.. I tried it to see if I could get 2 laptops at work 
to talk..

I did this :)

I got minicom and Windows hyper terminal to talk..
I tried ppp, but alas :(
I think it's because the port is half-duplex - I didn't have much time to 
fiddle, and now there is only one laptop at work..
