That's very weird.  We're using 2940s in all our machines, and the
news server is the only thing that's giving us grief.  I'm currently
going through the kernel configuration file, trying to see if anything
has changed in there that would cause problems.  I'll keep you and
-questions posted on any developments (assuming -questions cares :-)

Thanks for letting us know we're not the only ones with this problem.
