Subject:   login.conf not executing permissions that are set

Hi, when i learnd about freebsd's ability to restrict certian users's functions, like max processes etc..  However, when i attempted to use these rules they didn't seem to work.  here is an example of a login.conf rule for login class test

test:\  
        :maxproc=3:\
        :sessionlimit=1:\

these rules do not seem to be taking effect.  the user test is in login class test.  i'm not sure if i have left something important out or what.  please let me know, thanks!
