Don't at least 3 commercial versions of unix ship with IPv6? (AIX and a few others) However I'm not sure what their definition of IPv6 is. They might just have the "check mark on the shrinkwrap" you're talking about.... :) Hasn't the tradition been BSD implements something first, then everyone else uses/emulates/implements it? FreeBSD should keep its place as a leader in OS innovation and design concepts, it should not become a follower in the OS world. I trust the FreeBSD team _much_ more with the future of UNIX standards than any other group of programmers/computer standards orginization out there. mmap, sockets, bpf, etc...
