I chose the xorg server. Since I was on a private network with no DNS (for testing) I entered a non-existant hostname. (anya.localdomain) Upon login (via xdm) the x session manager pops up a window with "chooseSessionListWidget" in the menu. A click anywhere on the window results in an xsm.core file and drop back to the xdm login screen. I could find no useful errors logged. >How-To-Repeat: Install 5.4-RELEASE, choose the xorg server. (I don't know if XFree86 has the same problem) Give a non-existant name for hostname. Start xdm. Attempt to log in. >Fix: Make sure the hostname given at installation is able to be looked up, or if not, is at least put in the /etc/hosts file. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:help
