The PCI card doesn't come up with MSIX failures. The onboard has the MSIX failures but continues to work as you say. These are the comparative specs for the onboard: kernel: em0: <Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection 7.0.5> port 0x3040-0x305f mem 0xe3200000-0xe321ffff,0xe3220000-0xe3220fff irq 10 at device 25.0 on pci0 kernel: em0: Setup MSIX failure kernel: em0: [FILTER] kernel: em0: Ethernet address: 00:27:0e:1e:5e:e3 $ ifconfig em0 em0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500 options=219b<RXCSUM,TXCSUM,VLAN_MTU,VLAN_HWTAGGING,VLAN_HWCSUM,TSO4,WOL_MAGIC> ether 00:27:0e:1e:5e:e3 inet XXXXXXXX media: Ethernet autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex>) status: active pciconf -lv: em0@pci0:0:25:0: class=0x020000 card=0x00008086 chip=0x10f08086 rev=0x05 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' class = network subclass = ethernet
