Hi, after all, i can say, HEUREKA, FreeBSD 6.1-BETA2 is installed on my IBM Blade Center. I used the AMD64 ISO. I did the installation via Blade Center ManagementModul "Remote Control" and booted the CD from my local workstation. booting from CD, in bootmenu choose "6" and type: unset acpi_load load ispfw load isp set hint.atkbd.0.disabled="1" boot Normally FreeBSD should boot into sysinstall and keyboard should work. Also, i got a problems to find a HD, but after loading "ispfw" and "isp" (well, i think "ispfw" should be enough, this is not loaded in the GENERIC Kernel) i see all my LUNs in the SAN. Installation from CD did not work, due to input/outpu errors of /dev/cd0. Sysinstall was also unable to mount /dev/cd0 to /dist. But not a problem at all, i configured the network and did the installation via FTP. Works smoothly. So, after rebooting, systems will hang at "atkbd" and/or the QLOGIC Interface. So, using the boot prompt and unset acpi, load ispfw and set atkbd (see above). /boot/loader.conf: # turn off acpi # see also /boot/device.hints acpi_load="NO" # QLOGIC FIBRE ispfw_load="YES" /etc/device.hints (add these lines at the end of the file): # disable ACPI #see also /boot/loader.conf hint.acpi.0.disabled="1" hint.atkbd.0.disabled="1" So, reboot the system and just let it boot normally. It should work now. Here is my dmesg.boot: Copyright (c) 1992-2006 The FreeBSD Project.
