I've just added an "elf_brand_inuse()" routine to imgact_elf.c,
enabling emulators to work out whether they're being used before
they unload themselves out from under some poor unfortunate
process.
Should I modify the other emulators to use this mechanism as well,
or are they actively maintained by someone else?
