I never realized I was delving into such a large subject.

No wonder I couldn't look at NC vendor webistes and figure out what the
heck an NC is. The break down goes like this: (?)

Xterm: No horse power display.
Diskless WS: Horspe power display with no disc.
Workstation: Horsepowered display with disc.

NC: Some variation of the above plus may included secret decoder ring for
acronyms. :)
