yes, but dmesg is now very populated with several boots, so it's 
difficult to see. i guess i should powercycle next time.

in my case, (way back to 4.2 :-), it always hanged in polling mode.

is there another way to change the irq than recompiling the kernel?
(i tried irq ?, no irq, but failed).
