Hi.=0A=0AI am connecting to a Samba server from a mac running OSX 10.6.6 on= my LAN and up =0Auntil about a month ago it has been running smoothly. Th= e sever is appearing in =0AFinder but when connecting I get asked my userna= me and password. After entering =0Amy details I get "Connecting" for about= 5-10 seconds before the shares are =0Apresented, then I am able to mount a= nd work with the shares. Interestingly if I =0Adon't mot the share quickly= the mac reports the share is no longer available?=0A=0AThis evening I have= been doing some diagnosis to see whats happening, I opened a =0Aterminal s= ession on the samba server and to connect to the share using;=0A=0Asmbclien= t \\\\localhost\\[share]=0A=0AI get asked the password, after 20 seconds th= e connection fails with the error:=0A=0AReceiving SMB: Server stopped respo= nding=0Asession setup failed: Call timed out: server did not respond after = 20000 =0Amilliseconds=0A=0AI'm assuming this is why there is a delay in mou= nting the share though my Mac. =0A Im pretty sure I haven't changed anythin= g. I have googled the web and the only =0Aconstructive thing I have come a= cross so far is the encrypt password entry in =0Asmb.conf. I tried this b= ut made no difference.=0A=0Asmb.conf:=0A=0A[global]=0Anetbios name=3DLeopar= d=0Aworkgroup=3DWORKGROUP=0Asecurity =3D user=0Aload printers =3D no=0Alog = file =3D /var/log/samba.log=0Amax logsize =3D 50=0Atime server =3D yes=0Are= ad raw =3D yes=0Awrite raw =3D yes=0Asocket options =3D TCP_NODELAY IPTOS_L= OWDELAY=0Awins support =3D yes=0Alocal master =3D yes=0Adomain master =3D = yes=0Aos level =3D 65=0A=0A[homes]=0Aread only=3Dno=0Aguest ok=3Dno=0Abrows= able=3Dno=0A=0A[share]=0Apath=3D/usr/home/share=0Aread only=3Dno=0Aguest ok= =3Dno=0Aforce group =3D share=0Asecurity mask =3D 0660=0Aforce security mod= e =3D 660=0Adirectory security mask =3D 0770=0Aforce directory security mod= e =3D 0770=0A=0AAny advise would be appreciated especially if someone has r= esolved this.=0A=0AThanks=0A=0A=0A
