Author: marius Date: Mon Jul 30 11:11:05 2012 New Revision: 238904 URL: http://svn.freebsd.org/changeset/base/238904 Log: Pull the tier-2 card and change the sparc64 ZFS loader to no longer probe all diskN aliases for providers (which more or less corresponds to how the x86 version behaves) but instead probe only those listed in the boot-device OFW environment variable. This has the following advantages: - avoids otherwise unavoidable OFW warnings about failures to open disks for which aliases exist but no actual hardware is connected - avoids issues due to different diskN naming schemes - aligns us with Solaris Approved by: re (kib) Modified: stable/9/UPDATING (contents, props changed) stable/9/sys/boot/sparc64/loader/main.c Directory Properties: stable/9/sys/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/amd64/include/xen/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/boot/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/boot/i386/efi/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/boot/ia64/efi/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/boot/ia64/ski/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/boot/powerpc/boot1.chrp/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/boot/powerpc/ofw/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/cddl/contrib/opensolaris/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/conf/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/contrib/dev/acpica/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/contrib/octeon-sdk/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/contrib/pf/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/contrib/x86emu/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/dev/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/dev/e1000/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/dev/isp/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/dev/ixgbe/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/fs/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/fs/ntfs/ (props changed) stable/9/sys/modules/ (props changed) Modified: stable/9/UPDATING ============================================================================== --- stable/9/UPDATING Mon Jul 30 11:02:22 2012 (r238903) +++ stable/9/UPDATING Mon Jul 30 11:11:05 2012 (r238904) @@ -9,6 +9,11 @@ handbook.
