not possible due to hang up before completed boot
>Description:
in the release docs for freebsd 5.1 it is told that sis 645DX is supported, but it doesnt work, still hang up with a read error as described by others in older releases. I will appriciate any help that can get me up running with this chipset without completely disabling ata/udma.
>How-To-Repeat:
get a sis645DX mobo install and reboot from your newly installed freebsd 5.1, then wait 15 seconds and see the system hangs up.
>Fix:
disable udma support, but I think it will be better if someone could fix it so the hardware support page is telling the true "story". Have seen patches for si651 forcing it to run ata100, but doesnt seems to work for me with 645DX.
