Thanks for the responce. Till now i am having separate root and swap partitions in each of my two disks, and all my other stuff lives in a vinum mirrored volume. This way i am fairly protected against crashes, but this setup is complicated and difficult to maintain. (If the disk that has the active root partition crashes i must reboot.
