#define quoting(Christopher S Johnson) // I am new to the wold of FreeBSD, but somewhat familiar with Linux and Unix. The problem I am running in to is getting my zip drive to mount. When my system boots up and probes for devices, the zip drive is assigned sd1. Once I log in, based on what I do in Linux, if I try to mount the drive using the command mount /dev/sd1 /zip it returns an error. FreeBSD use specific devices for each partition. If it's a DOS disk, try this: mount -t msdos /dev/sd1s4 /zip Jonny -- Joao Carlos Mendes Luis jonny@gta.ufrj.br +55 21 290-4698 jonny@coppe.ufrj.br Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro UFRJ/COPPE/CISI PGP fingerprint: 29 C0 50 B9 B6 3E 58 F2 83 5F E3 26 BF 0F EA 67
