I :am having some trouble getting my Pinnacle PCTV Pro TV-card to work in :FreeBSD with fxtv. All I get from fxtv is a blue screen. Channel change works :in that the OSD displays a channel identifier and a frequency when pushing :the buttons. I also get a click on start-up of fxtv and some faint noise from :the speakers the (but nowhere near as loud as a mistuned channel, it :basically sounds as though something was "turned on"). The version of FXTV :I'm using is 1.02. I'm using a PCTV Pro with XFree86 4.0.3 and fxtv 1.03 on FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE with no problems. I'm in North America so my tuner is NTSC instead of PAL. I've tested mine with Composite, S-Video, and CATV in with no problems. :I copied over a configuration file from a friend in the same building, which :means at least the channels and frequencies should be OK. I wanted to check :any other options in there, but I can't find where the config file is :supposed to be (neither in the documentation to fxtv nor using find). I used the package to install fxtv, instead of compiling it. I'm not sure what the differences may be. It came with a valid base configuration. If anyone can point out how I might get the FM Tuner working, that would be appreciated. I see that others on this list are using FM Tuners, so I imagine I've missed something somewhere.
