> The following are some results from trying out the NDISulator with an MPI350 MiniPCI card under 5.2.1-RELEASE and NDIS sources as of 2004/03/09. I updated to the latest firmware and downloaded the latest Windows drivers. > Ok, people: do you have any idea how _unhelpful_ it is when all you say is you have "the latest drivers?" You have, right in front of you, the names of the files you downloaded, and even the version numbers. Couldn't you just say what they are instead of forcing me to play detective? Please don't assume that I'll be able to find same "latest" files that you have. > # sysctl debug.bootverbose=1 > debug.bootverbose: 0 -> 1 > # kldload if_ndis > ndis0: <Cisco Systems PCI Wireless LAN Adapter> port 0x8000-0x80ff mem 0xc040000 > 0-0xc07fffff,0xc0200000-0xc0203fff irq 11 at device 2.0 on pci2 > pcib2: device ndis0 requested decoded memory range 0xc0400000-0xc07fffff > pcib2: device ndis0 requested decoded memory range 0xc0200000-0xc0203fff > pcib2: device ndis0 requested decoded I/O range 0x8000-0x80ff > can't re-use a leaf (NodeName)! > can't re-use a leaf (InfrastructureMode)! > can't re-use a leaf (PowerSaveMode)! > can't re-use a leaf (SupportedRates)! > can't re-use a leaf (SSID1)! > ndis0: NDIS API version: 5.0 > ndis0: 802.11 address: ac:e9:03:00:00:00 > ndis0: couldn't retrieve channel info: 19 > ndis0: bpf attached > ndis0: bpf attached > ndis0: 11b rates: Something is very wrong here. I really don't think ac:e9:03:00:00:00 is a proper MAC address. Please take a step back and tell me just which driver files you're trying to use. (Also, note that the surest way to get a card working is for me to get my hands on one so that I can debug the problems myself. It's almost impossible for anyone to "help" me by offering to test patches since I have no idea what to patch unless I have the thing in front of me.) -Bill -- ============================================================================= -Bill Paul (510) 749-2329 | Senior Engineer, Master of Unix-Fu wpaul@windriver.com | Wind River Systems ============================================================================= <adamw> you're just BEGGING to face the moose =============================================================================
