https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=284275 --- Comment #10 from K4sum1 <k4sum1@eclipse.cx> --- (In reply to Mark Linimon from comment #9) So I can't seem to replicate it with either 15.0 or 14.3 (XigmaNAS 14.3.0.5) However the machine has been different as of lately. Nearly every boot, I get 5 short beeps. Which if I search `5 short beeps ami bios`, I get CPU error, however the machine just boots into the OS anyways, or if this is a cold boot it boots to the BIOS for whatever reason. If this was a CPU error, I would not expect it just booting anyways to be the failure mode, so I got no idea what that could be. What also came with this, is that the current setup with the old FreeNAS 11.1 install has seemed to boot a lot more reliably. So I'm not sure what it is exactly, or if this would allow me to replicate the failure mode again. I did like 10 or more boot cycles with 15.0, and 5 or more with 14.3. Some being cold starts, but booting to BIOS for seemingly no reason and having to reboot again to get into OS got annoying, so most were just resets. (I intended to upgrade to XigmaNAS when I got new drives, however the cost of the old drives I've been wanting to get have stagnated or even gone up, plus not having so much money has delayed this indefinitely.)
