It's basically a more advanced version of Beats. It can also act as an EDR for security & compliance. I'm actually porting Elastic Agent to FreeBSD on the side. I managed to get it running, but haven't ran the tests yet. The main issue was that 2 dependencies needed to be ported as well. One of them was elastic/go-sysinfo, which was already ported (found in Beats).
