No, you need to (as I have) buy xvscan for what is a very reasonable price or settle for greatly reduced functionality with the `hpscan' port in /usr/ports/graphics (which I beat on a bit when I first got my scanner and is at least functional). http://www.tummy.com for the xvscan product.
