SYSTEM: FreeBSD-5.0RELEASE (from an ISO image) MACHINE: i386 PROBLEM: after cvs'uping (16-03-2003) sources, and building world, system can't boot up clean -> new kernel is hanging on "mounting filesystem from ufs:XXX" message, the old kernel boots, and complains about FSCK "-F" missing flag, thus it can't check "/" and thinks it's not been cleanly unmounted. RESULT: new kernel hangs. old kernel boots only in single user mode, and stops processing rc files after FSCK complaint. SOLUTION: after short battle I have managed to change the parameter "-F", I assumed the "-f" flag is correct, because I couldn't find "-F" option in an manpage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ With regards Michal Kolodziejski To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
