Did they ever fix the bugs in the Perl that comes with
FreeBSD?  In FreeBSD 4.5 for example, setting $0 (the 
process name) causes a core dump.  There are others -
ones that I know exist but I can't find.

I have an app, Minivend, that crashes after X thousands
of hits (every few weeks) on FreeBSD but never crashed in 
2 years on Linux.
