However, without gpilot support, you can actually get it to compile with the GNOME 1.4 API and the GNOME 2.0 desktop. This is an obvious sign that there is still more work to do. Only a few applications have been ported to GNOME 2.0 (i.e. xchat, pan, mrproject, gnumeric, gstreamer, etc.). We need to update bsd.gnome.mk to handle both GNOME 1.4 and GNOME 2.x. Now that 4.6 has been tagged, we can start doing all this.
