	Don't bother with 3.x, you should really start over with a clean
4.5 system. There are huge improvements that you'll want to take advantage
of, including in the softupdates code. Your best chance of success is to
back up your important data, do a fresh install of 4.5-release (which lets
you turn on softupdates on install) and go from there. You might also
consider checking out http://snapshots.jp.freebsd.org/ for a more recent
-stable snapshot.
