No, IMO it's ideal to reply on the thread if observing an issue related to the
fix for the original problem, which it was, because then all the context is
there.

Graham asked in comment #4:

To which I was replying, every mentioned issue is fixed now (please correct me
if I'm wrong -- I want this stuff to be improved) therefore I changed it back
to fixed.
