Yup, that was the problem. Thanks a lot, Greg! I used the wrong syntax /:)
It builds as I write this email :)=

I am sending the output of the make process to a file. I will filter it
for warnings and errors, and then put it somewhere online. I'll post the
URL.

The compile process is IMHO very slow, I think I'll try to relink
bin/javac to jikes. That may dramatically improve speed (*if* it works).

BTW: Thanks to all who responded so quickly to my email (Greg, Steve, Nate
and Gary), I think it's fabulous to see the teamspirit and enthusiasm :)
