We've some patches which Matt Dillon just applied to -current which allow this to work correctly. The patches are quite simple and were developed here for a 3.3-STABLE machine, so it should be easy to backport them. It is probably too late to get them into 3.4 at this stage. (The pr was kern/13049 but something slightly different got committed in the end). David.
