Did you try to change the cd-rom drive? Unfortunately, I don't have another CD drive for my laptop so that is one thing I haven't done. Most recently I tried changing the drive geometry during install to what is shown on my hard drive and that did not change anything. What really drives me crazy is the fact that FreeSBIE runs perfectly fine. Can you mount filesystems from the harddrive in FreeSBIE? The output of pcifconf -lv on FreeSBIE would be very useful. Yes, I can mount both the Windows and FreeBSD partition in FreeSBIE. I was also able to mount my USB thumbdrive to save the output of the pciconf command you asked about above. The output is as follows: hostb0@pci0:0:0: class=0x060000 card=0xff001179 chip=0x25908086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82915PM/GM/GMS, 82910GML Host Bridge' class = bridge subclass = HOST-PCI pcib1@pci0:1:0: class=0x060400 card=0x00000088 chip=0x25918086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82915PM/GM PCI Express Graphics Port' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI pcib2@pci0:28:0: class=0x060400 card=0x00000040 chip=0x26608086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW PCI Express Port 1' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI pcib3@pci0:28:1: class=0x060400 card=0x00000040 chip=0x26628086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW PCI Express Port 2' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI uhci0@pci0:29:0: class=0x0c0300 card=0xff001179 chip=0x26588086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB uhci1@pci0:29:1: class=0x0c0300 card=0xff001179 chip=0x26598086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB uhci2@pci0:29:2: class=0x0c0300 card=0xff001179 chip=0x265a8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB uhci3@pci0:29:3: class=0x0c0300 card=0xff001179 chip=0x265b8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB UHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB ehci0@pci0:29:7: class=0x0c0320 card=0xff001179 chip=0x265c8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW USB 2.0 EHCI Controller' class = serial bus subclass = USB pcib4@pci0:30:0: class=0x060401 card=0x00000050 chip=0x24488086 rev=0xd3 hdr=0x01 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801BAM/CAM/DBM (ICH2-M/3-M/4-M) Hub Interface to PCI Bridge' class = bridge subclass = PCI-PCI pcm0@pci0:30:2: class=0x040100 card=0xff001179 chip=0x266e8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW AC '97 Audio Controller' class = multimedia subclass = audio none0@pci0:30:3: class=0x070300 card=0x00011179 chip=0x266d8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW AC '97 Modem Controller' class = simple comms subclass = generic modem isab0@pci0:31:0: class=0x060100 card=0xff001179 chip=0x26418086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FBM ICH6M LPC Interface Bridge' class = bridge subclass = PCI-ISA atapci0@pci0:31:2: class=0x010180 card=0xff001179 chip=0x26538086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FBM ICH6M SATA Controller' class = mass storage subclass = ATA none1@pci0:31:3: class=0x0c0500 card=0xff001179 chip=0x266a8086 rev=0x03 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = '82801FB/FR/FW/FRW SMBus Controller' class = serial bus subclass = SMBus none2@pci1:0:0: class=0x030000 card=0xff041179 chip=0x54621002 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ATI Technologies Inc' class = display subclass = VGA fwohci0@pci6:0:0: class=0x0c0010 card=0xff001179 chip=0x8026104c rev=0x00 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Texas Instruments (TI)' device = 'TSB43AB21 1394a-2000 OHCI PHY/link-layer Controller' class = serial bus subclass = FireWire rl0@pci6:1:0: class=0x020000 card=0xff001179 chip=0x813910ec rev=0x10 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Realtek Semiconductor' device = 'RT8139 (A/B/C/810x/813x/C+) Fast Ethernet Adapter' class = network subclass = ethernet none3@pci6:2:0: class=0x028000 card=0x27418086 chip=0x42208086 rev=0x05 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'Intel Corporation' device = 'PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection' class = network cbb0@pci6:4:0: class=0x060700 card=0xff011179 chip=0x14121524 rev=0x10 hdr=0x02 vendor = 'ENE Technology Inc' device = 'CB-712/714 CardBus Controller' class = bridge subclass = PCI-CardBus none4@pci6:4:1: class=0x050100 card=0xff011179 chip=0x05301524 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ENE Technology Inc' class = memory subclass = flash none5@pci6:4:2: class=0x080501 card=0xff021179 chip=0x05501524 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ENE Technology Inc' class = base peripheral none6@pci6:4:3: class=0x050100 card=0xff011179 chip=0x05201524 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ENE Technology Inc' class = memory subclass = flash none7@pci6:4:4: class=0x050100 card=0xff021179 chip=0x05511524 rev=0x01 hdr=0x00 vendor = 'ENE Technology Inc' class = memory subclass = flash
