https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=293008 Bug ID: 293008 Summary: Kernel hang on HP ZBook Ultra G1a booting off nvme drive Product: Base System Version: CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: kern Assignee: bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: olivier@freebsd.org Created attachment 267863 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=267863&action=edit Booting from USB (working) My laptop could boot a FreeBSD USB stick, and install FreeBSD on the nvme disk (once booted from the USB stick). But when booting off the nvme disk after install, it hang. The full dmesg while booting from USB. And an (OCR) version of when booting from the nvme and hang (even keyboard unresponsive) at this step: usbus0 on xhci0 usbus0: 5.0Gbps Super Speed USB v3.0 pci3: <multimedia> at device 0.5 (no driver attached) hdac1: <AMD Raven HDA Controller> mem 0xa0440000-0xa0447fff at device 0.6 on pci3 pcib6: <ACPI PCI-PCI bridge> at device 8.2 on pci0 pci4: <ACPI PCI bus> on pcib6 pcib7: <ACPI PCI-PCI bridge> at device 8.3 on pci0 pci5: <ACPI PCI bus> on pcib7 So, compared to the boot-from usb, it hang just at "pci5" stage displayed, or while loading the xhci drivers (expected next step). Notice: Same exact kernel used (current, so with debug/witness). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
