By that, I mean that in 6.x, libgssapi_krb5 is called libgssapi.so.<some number I forget>. In 7.0, this becomes libgssapi_krb5 and applications link with the GSS-API plugin framework libgssapi.so.8 (or 9 if the extra version bump has been merged to 7.0). Does the number really need to be bumped for 7.0? It has already happened at least once, when I committed the plugin framework.
