Hi,
on FreeBSD 7.1-RELEASE (i386) driven machine, with iwi(4) (Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG), i try to create a clone of the iwi0 device.
Here is the device info:
$ ifconfig iwi0
iwi0: flags=8802<BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1500
ether 00:16:6f:8a:ee:4b
media: IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet autoselect
status: no carrier
ssid "" channel 1 (2412 Mhz 11b)
authmode OPEN privacy OFF bmiss 10 scanvalid 60 bgscan
bgscanintvl 300 bgscanidle 250 roam:rssi11b 7 roam:rate11b 1 bintval 0
$ ifconfig iwi0 list caps
iwi0=25818300<IBSS,PMGT,SHPREAMBLE,MONITOR,WPA1,WPA2,WME,BGSCAN>
When i try to create the clone device i get the following:
# ifconfig wlan create wlandev iwi0
ifconfig: SIOCIFCREATE2: Invalid argument
I searched for a similar problem in the net, but haven't found anything meaningful.
What am i missing ?
Regards,
Vladimir
